The true story of every man's struggle
The Whistling Wind: A Life Unfolding
This is the story of an ordinary Black man shaped by extraordinary pressures, government policy, economic exclusion, and the ideology of survival endorsed by capitalism. Work was scarce. The law caught me. Prison changed me. Mental illness followed. I was diagnosed with bipolar affective disorder. But I emerged, a high-functioning philosopher, compelled to write.
I never saw myself as a writer. I didn’t read much. Before social media, I barely wrote a word. But one morning in 2009, I woke up with a laptop in my hand and a need to speak.
Writing became my mirror. It helped me understand my condition, my past, and my place in a society that often misunderstands spiritual journeys. In a world built on self-preservation, I found rhythm, rhyme, and flow in unexpected companions.
This novel is not just mine. It’s a message. A reflection. A call to look deeper than the surface. The Whistling Wind invites you to listen to the story, the struggle, and the spirit behind it.

The Whistling Wind
The Whistling Wind
Weird can be wonderful, mysterious and magical. The word conveys all levels of emotion. In this remarkable book, The Whistling Wind, the author, John T. Hope, takes the reader on a trip to the underbelly of today’s society and the ugly underworld in gripping poetic prose.
Born in the United Kingdom out of the Windrush generation, John T. Hope is an ordinary, hardworking single-back man writing a true story of romance in the midst of racism, unemployment, and the
economic exploitation of so many ethnic minorities in the workplace. Stemming out of an impoverished background with a poor education, he confronts many unlucky turns of events on his life’s journey and then ends up in prison. Upon his release, he’s undeterred by the problems he encounters.
Striving to survive, he writes to articulate why life is so hard in modern society and asks why we can’t all live together as equals.
OMNI'S Wordsmith Mantra
OMNI’S Wordsmith Mantra is a powerful, thought-provoking, emotionally engaging, and spiritually uplifting book that may even change your life.
Using writing for self-therapy, vivid poetic prose reveals the mindset of a bipolar sufferer questioning religious dogma, political deceit and economic policies.
Inspired by our Lord Jesus Christ, the author starts the theme with his visionary interpretation of creationism.
This remarkable book takes a trip back into history to understand where inequality stems from and contains poems which express unique personal feelings about
the concept of love that can educate tomorrow’s people for a brighter future. The author’s writing style clearly explains what is occurring in the mind of the mentally aware and how mathematics can be translated into natural aw.
The novel illustrates how Nature’s complex natural order is affected by economic forecasts. After a challenging discussion, the author concludes with practical and
cost-effective ideas to make the Earth a better environment for the majority of people who are born without equality, wealth, and status.

Preface
After spending some time in prison and experiencing a great deal of financial stress as a self-employed carpenter after my release then bringing up a young boy as a single parent and facing unemployment from time to time, it came as a big and thrilling disbelief for me to wake up one lovely spring morning twelve years ago wanting to write. It was a particularly big surprise as I wasn’t hitherto known for doing anything in the way of reading, let alone writing.
The title of the book uses the word ‘Omni’ to mean ‘of all things,’ which is a way of summarising the many subject matters in this book, from one-to-one love to the psychology of humanity concerning the holy books and the search to find heaven here on earth. The book also tries to embrace and express God’s love for humanity. ‘Wordsmith’ is used in the title to punctuate the poetic prose constructed in this book and ‘Mantra’ represents the repetition of the message the book conveys, freeing the resources for free will to love freely.
