A Philosopher's Vignettes Chapter 1: The Direction

We aim to find the truth in humanity’s behaviour because lies hurt when honesty is less painful. When we feel the pain, it’s a lesson that isn’t forgotten, and we discover a treasure trove that is usually stumbled upon: knowledge and wisdom.

Unearthing knowledge is sometimes a process of elimination or a lightning bolt that sparks motivation. As you read the pages, each chapter relates to a situation many of us face.

Storytelling places readers in scenarios to offer insight, making the reader wiser. Knowing our everyday dramas, the mind can fail when it cannot solve a recurring problem.

Many mental illnesses stem from the stress of finding food, shelter, and safety, which can be a tedious journey. When you have found a job, holding the position is hard work, maintaining a steady relationship is a task, and you are anxious about paying the mortgage. If you could learn without the pain, would there be gain?

Could that lesson lead you on a treacherous path, or do you take the long way down a safe road?

Being clever creatures, you fly high in the sky to see the situation below. Although flying high can be a buzz, being on the ground means wearing a frown that should be a crown.

Not all relationships are smooth sailing; rough ocean waves can make you sick, but an experienced sailor is never nauseous. Their knowledge of the seas prepares them for the worst, but you’re on a roundabout and never learn.

All the above metaphors refer to our relationships and how we navigate to avoid personal tragedies and misfortunes elsewhere. Bad vibes create misery or give, and you shall receive.

In spirituality, they declared that life and death are the fortunes of men for God’s will to give and take as he pleases. These entities move the universe and anything in it.

However, religion disagrees, and an atheist believes it’s a ridiculous idea. A supernatural power is a ludicrous way to think that god can do everything and anything.

Like all superheroes, they have power with limitations. For example, Superman can fly but can’t walk through walls. You’re likely to do the wrong thing if you don’t know or have an accurate description.

Therefore, religion’s one god and spirituality’s many Gods lock horns throughout the book. To find peace, society hopes faith will answer its concerns, but more often than not, religion starts wars, or does it?

Most people in Western society turn to the Roman Catholic Church or their faith for advice, guidance, and reassurance.

What is the difference between a spiritual journey and religious practice?

Religion understands that the creator’s behaviour is the same as that of modern-day society, which was portrayed and dictated by religious groups or organisations from the warring past.

On the other hand, a spiritual journey involves discovering truth in the natural world and having faith in one’s beliefs without evidence from the creators.

However, if society were to see a God of love and exercise its behaviour, one believes it could be a much better and safer place to live and a pleasure to work. The question is, which belief?

Is faith today allegiance to a religious practice, or is it a spiritual journey of self-discovery?

Remember the restrictions religion preaches in comparison to a journey sharing your affections.

If you have free will and cannot kill, what is a sin within natural law?

Since we are on a journey of self-discovery, is there such a thing as a sin if one has free will on that journey?

How can you maintain a civil disposition in an economic environment if the rules suggest something different?

Firstly, society must have the utmost respect towards a person and their mind, but remember that religion sends the wrong message, and politics is misleading. So, when someone sees an attacking word towards their free will, they will question it. That word is sin. Besides psychological and physical abuse and sexual indiscretion, what is a sin?

If divine entities were to judge society and we had free will, the spirits would want to know if their creation was intelligent. What do you think, intelligence or behaviour?

‘In my opinion, sin has to be understood in the backdrop of a God of Love and his moral judgment.

I understand how humanity has a historical tendency to use its free will in ways that cause much evil in the world, both consciously and in ignorance, and go against the spirit’s desires for us.

My faith in a God of Love isn’t where I lose my free will, but I humbly recognise a relationship with a living entity is far more fruitful for my soul.’    Griot Gabriel

Humanity’s humble qualities must act according to a moral code, which is essential. Our actions are to rise above primitive behaviour and achieve intellectual excellence. It is also a godlike way to be and live.

This makes your thinking equal to divine thoughts, pure and clear. Practising honourable qualities, you’re gifted with wisdom.

A God of Love imprints his persona onto humanity. However, society tends to draw different conclusions, which causes men to sin. One of those sins was not to worship the golden calf. Wanting and praying for gold, money, and then economic power are the humble beginnings of psychopathic behaviour and self-serving.

However, some feel that economic rule is necessary to balance injustice against natural morality. Morals are a higher standard of good virtues.

Impersonating divinity is essential to cohabiting and living in peace. Anything less is not our best. Since society is travelling down the wrong road, are we worshipping the correct deity with a complete and accurate description?

And if one persona leaves a lasting impression, it’s God. There is no getting away from divine influence. Like an NHS hospital bed blocker, some atheists put blocks up in their minds that reject anything to do with the entity.

However, the entities are with you, and the mind opens up listening to and hearing others’ opinions. If the mind agrees unwittingly, the person assimilates that behaviour.

Since the Western world believes in one god, some atheists are self-serving and do not share.
