A Philosopher's Vignettes Chapter 5: Greed’s Hunger

Philosophy suggests a way of life incorporating music, poetry, and the arts to refine society. Their artistic portraits write philosophy for the people.

Live and let live is a Dutch phrase. G De Malynes compiled it in The Ancient Law Merchant in 1622. That phrase wasn’t the policy when the Romans decided to forcibly spread the use of gold around the world.

Whether it’s a good or a bad situation, some sons try to be good fathers and emulate their forefathers. They took the mantle from what was left behind, and here we are today. Having looked at the horrifying past, are most wars around the globe justified if the economic systems do not allow citizens of the world to live and let live?

The present-day bully, shadowing the Roman example, is Putin invading Ukraine and starting a war. Since economics plays a vital role in society, following the Roman way of life and believing in gold seems to be the only practice and worship. When you follow a road, two paths will always appear. Which is better for humanity,  theology or philosophy?

Remember that our Lord Jesus Christ was a philosopher before being elevated to a prophet. Historically, philosophers have always used peaceful methods to convey God’s nature.

Religious organisations try to destroy, manipulate, hijack and distort the truth for power. Men should never be able to control the population’s sexual behaviour, the consumption of resources and finance and then psychology imprison individuals.

Firstly, there are many divine entities, but some people do not follow a religion because of the organisation’s brutal past and what it preaches. Religious institutes work for the winners of wars, not the people they are supposed to serve. They might preach morality, but act immorally for sex and money.

Boys look up to their father as an example of a man.

A child will dedicate their life to emulating their football hero, as our forefathers have often killed a man of peace.

Today, the innocent minds of the young follow the example set before them.

If men do not follow a loving spirit ruling over humanity, leaders follow their historical heroes, such as the megalomaniac Alexander the so-called Great.

King Solomon showed compassion when he did not order the baby to be chopped in half.

Greed’s Scales Of Injustice.

The scales of moral justice weigh an even balance: an equal share with no bias. Since teamwork brings greater rewards for all, why does the global majority struggle to be better when we are equal?

Working together to improve our lives is an excellent goal rather than being better than the next-door neighbour. Why should one have more and many receive less?

Is greed not enough to feed your needs?

How fat can a goldfish get before it pops?

Some want to emulate their hero in stature, wealth and fame because their star has what they find more challenging to achieve. For example, Taylor Swift can afford to charter a private jet aircraft to visit her boyfriend when she’s on tour, which is extravagant and excessive.

Why have two cars when you only need one?

Then again, is Puff Daddy and Jeffery Epstein’s wealth to manipulate people to do wrong seem attractive?

Why do some want to achieve more than others and receive a greater reward?

Is greed not enough to feed your needs?

How fat can a goldfish get before it pops?

Should we follow the Top Of The Pops’ fashion or aim to overfeed and pop like greedy weasels?

Or is taking what you need more or less than you want?

Why take more if others need less than your greed?

We may have different trades and work towards the same goal, yet they often require less physical work and receive higher compensation.

Physical workers can’t afford to buy expensive, good-quality food, so a labourer dies young and underweight. Meanwhile, the fat, lazy foreman and the bone idol supervisor sit back in their armchairs, interviewing the next mug to walk through the door.

Is greed not enough to feed your needs?

How fat can a goldfish get before it pops?

Usually, three square meals a day are enough, but you’ll have four because you’re starving. What happens when one person has more, and the scales cause the others to have less?

The choices are starving to death or fighting to survive when we could share. Isn’t that fair?

Like a bank robber, the greed of some animals, before running out of a chicken coop, a red-tailed fox gathers as many chickens as possible, buries some for later, and eats the remainder.

Society’s greed is related to humanity’s understanding of divinity and psychology. God is defined in the image of man, and because of that, religious bodies look at early men as an example of God’s behaviour in the natural world.

Spirituality seeks to improve oneself and society, develop a divine relationship within, and radiate out. The belief and practice require respectful behaviour when it comes to relationships, sexual or otherwise.

Therefore, the essays on the following pages demonstrate how the family unit reinforces primitive traits in the future. In some cases, parents are controlling because they are concerned about their child’s safety, and wealth can provide security.

In some cases, parents are dominating and replicating the government and religious bodies' authoritarianism.

Humanity’s sexual behaviour is dependent on generating revenue to support your family. As the phrase suggests, no money, no honey. In society, being married means feeling safe, secure and loved for some people.

Is their intelligence fair if it creates greed when there is enough to feed?

You have two empty containers; you mix up many ideas in one container.

Mix up as many different ideas in the second container as in the first.

Then, taking an eye drop from each container, mix the two eye drops together to make a great idea.

How much greater reward does the one deserve when divided with the rest of the mix?

The following chapter discusses how society interacts with money and how it affects and dictates some people’s relationship choices.
